Hand building workshop - Create Your Own Plate 🍽️ [Workshop]

• 2 sessions conducted in both French and English as needed
• Small groups (max. 8 participants)
• Location: Les petits pots Tremblant workshop in Amherst
• Level: Beginner, no experience required

Design and create your own plate! In this two-part workshop, you'll learn how to hand-build a plate and apply impressions, decals and colors to make it a unique work of art 🎨

✨ Part 1 – Hand Building and Impressions (2h)

Familiarize yourself with clay and hand building methods to create a functional plate (6-8" diameter once finished). You will have the chance to create textures from impressions and use decals to decorate your work.

✨ Part 2 – Decoration and glazing (1:30)

During the second session, you will have the opportunity to learn how underglazes and glazes can be used to add color your pieces, whether by freehand design or by using stencils. 

All materials, tools, and training are included.

Notes:

• The first and second sessions are set at a two-week interval to allow for the pieces to dry and undergo their first firing in the kiln.
• Completed pieces will be ready two to three weeks after the final session and can be picked up at the workshop or at a pick-up point in Mont-Tremblant. Shipping may be available at an additional cost.
• Wear appropriate work clothing and indoor footwear, bring an apron if you have one.
• Workshop address and directions will be provided by email following registration.

Refunds

• If registration is cancelled 7 or more days before the day of the workshop, a refund is available, minus a 25$ fee.
• No refunds will be emitted if registration is cancelled less than 7 days prior to the workshop date. 
• Cancelled registrations can be rescheduled for a future workshop without additional fees.
